Community Centred College for the Retired, celebrating the 40th Anniversary with an Open House on April 5, 2013, offers a variety of courses and workshops for persons over the age of 55. The courses are designed to maintain physical, mental, and social well-being. Our programs are designed to meet a variety of needs and we welcome all potential students to enroll. There are no tests or grades in any of our programs making learning an enjoyable experience.
We are located in the Alan Emmott Centre at 6650 Southoaks Crescent in Burnaby, British Columbia. For convenience, we have a ground level entrance, free parking, and wheelchair accessibility. For those who rely on public transit, the #106 bus stops at Kingsway and Southoaks/Sperling, which is a short walk from the college. The Edmonds Sky Train Station is also close by.
"This college provides the best opportunity for the retireds to continue our life long learning in various subjects. It also facilitates a very supportive environment to meet people and to participate in community events. Thanks very much to the volunteers and staff who are making a difference in our community."
