Genealogy
Instructor: Cathie Glosli
Description: Genealogy has become the foremost hobby worldwide, surpassing both stamp and coin collecting since the book and movie "Roots" by Alex Haley. In genealogical research, you are "collecting" records and stories of your ancestors. It can be both absorbing and satisfying to do so. This course will offer you both basic and genealogical data and encourage you to set up an organisational system to accomplish your goals. The instructor uses her knowledge with the Personal Ancestral File computer program (PAF5), which will be used during this course. Basic computer skills are an asset during this course. Download PAF5 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints' website www.familysearch.org at no charge.
