C 1     DESKTOP BASICS - WINDOWS 10 (BEGINNER)
 

Are you ready to learn the basics about your Windows computer?  C 1 runs once a week (2 hours each Friday) for 10 weeks.  During this 10 week class you will learn basic techniques and concepts that will help you feel comfortable with your computer. Hands on instruction to increase your proficiency with the mouse and keyboard, working with folders/documents and an overview of Wordpad, games, paint, and microsoft office.

Topics not covered in C1:  Internet, E-mail, Photography & Social Media.   

 

Pre-requisite: a PC computer with Windows 10 Operating System
     Class limit: 8
     Class runs 9:00 - 11:00 once a week (Friday) for 10 weeks; 2 hours per class
     Cost: $80

     Supplies:  bring one flash/memory stick to store your work

Facebook Fundamentals and more (for Windows users)

This 4 session fun-filled course will teach you the basics of Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram and Twitter; a few of the most popular social media sites. Facebook gives you the ability to follow and/or share information with family and friends and much more; Pinterest enables you to collect what you find online (e.g. Recipes, Artwork, Sewing Patterns, Antiques) and store it in a digital file folder; Instagram allows you to share photos and follow other users (e.g. National Geographic, Cats of Instagram, Abstract Art); and Twitter allows you to share short updates and follow friends, celebrities and politicians

Prerequisite: Must have a home computer or laptop with Windows.

Class limit: 8

Class runs 1:30-3:30 once a week (Wednesday) for four weeks.

C 8  Investments Online

Investment Language Clarified!  Using online videos and websites this class looks at the difference between mutual funds, etfs, bonds and stocks, reviews online sources and the features on financial news websites that you can use to find out more information.

Class limit: 8

Class runs 11:15-12:15 once a week (Wednesday) for eight weeks.

Cost: $50
