C 1a  DESKTOP BASICS - WINDOWS 10 (BEGINNER)
 

Are you ready to learn the basics about your Windows computer?  C 1 runs once a week (2 hours each Friday) for 8 weeks.  You will learn basic techniques and concepts that will help you feel comfortable with your computer. Hands on instruction is provided to increase your proficiency with the mouse and keyboard, working with folders/documents. You will also receive an overview of Wordpad, Games, Paint, and Microsoft Office.

Topics not covered in C1:  Internet, E-mail, Photography & Social Media. 

 

Pre-requisite: Laptop or desktop with Windows 10 Operating System

Class limit: 8
Class runs 9:00 - 11:00 once a week (Friday) for 8 weeks
Cost: $60, plus $3 for class notes     

What to bring: 1 flash/memory stick to store your work

C4 Social Media Apps for iPad

This four session class will teach you the basic fundamentals of Facebook, Pinterest, and Instagram.

  • Facebook - connect with people and organizations you care about.

  • Pinterest - collect things you find on the internet and within Pinterest, such as crafts, recipes, art work, hobbies, travel etc.

  • Instagram - share photos and short videos and/or follow other users like National Geographic.

Pre-requisite: Must have an iPad and basic iPad skills.

Class limit: 8

Class runs 1:30-3:30 once a week (Wednesday) for four weeks.

Cost: $40 plus $3 for class notes

What to bring to class:  

* iPad

* User ID and passwords for Facebook, Pinterest, and Instagram if you already use them

IP 1   iPad BASICS


Learn the most useful iPad functions and apps.  This 8 session course is designed for those new to the iPad and those who wish to brush-up on the basics.  Make the iPad a rewarding addition to your life. 

Topics will include familiarization, gestures, purchasing apps, mail, contacts, calendar, Saari and more.

What to bring to class:  Your iPad and your Apple ID and Password

If you don't know your Apple ID you will need to go to a dealer (such as the Apple Store) and recover the ID.  


Class limit: Minimum 4 / Maximum 8

IP2    Beyond iPad Basics

A review of the basics; plus useful functions, add apps, manage, edit and share photos

Pre-requisite:  Complete IP1 iPad Basis Foundations course or are comfortable with using your iPad

What to bring to class:  Your iPad and your Apple ID and Password

If you own an iPhone and sometimes find it frustrating then this may be just what you need!  Come and learn the tricks that your kids already know and prepare to surprise them with your knowledge!
